It's good to see some big names coming onto Bandcamp. I love Jack White, I grew up learning pretty much every song from the White Stripes Elephant on guitar so he had quite a big influence on me. I really like this album, my favourite song was What's the Trick because it reminded me most of old school Jack White. The only gripe I have with the album is the song Hi-Dee-Ho which I just don't dig at all but I am a bit of a metalhead. Charlie Hodgson

The Black Keys are such a polished rock 'n' roll machine these days that it's hard to believe that they were ever as rough and scuzzy as they were on "Thickfreakness." This album is 11 slabs of loose, boozy delta blues. Their next album, "Rubber Factory," is really where they solidified their early sound but "Thickfreakness" stands out, if only because never before or since have The Black Keys sounded just so fuckin' dirty. mattgraupman
